About BanWeb The BanWeb System is the University's online student records system. It allows prospective students to apply for admission and financial aid, and continuing students to access information regarding their personal and academic records. Through BanWeb, continuing students can register for courses, check their grades, and review their unofficial transcript, all via the Internet.
The BanWeb system also provides university personnel with access to employee records, budget account status, and other online business services. BanWeb is part of the Banner Information System, an integrated suite of software products developed by SCT Corporation, to enhance Western University's educational and business operations.
Banner is a comprehensive and integrated graphical user interfaced information system. It stores data in different types of tables that together comprise an Oracle relational database. The data held within this database is available to any user who has appropriate security privileges, and is retrieved by means of user-friendly, online forms.
