Rotation description:
The Community Pharmacy Clerkship at Hendricks Pharmacy is designed to provide various experiences necessary to prepare students to become entry-level community pharmacy practitioners with an emphasis in collaborative practice based disease state management. Students will be involved in direct patient care activities in a collaborative practice based travel medicine clinic and will attain competency in destination specific and risk-avoidance counseling, vaccine administration, and travel-related medication recommendations. Students will be assigned various projects throughout the rotation (e.g. journal club) and opportunities exist to get involved in practice-based research.
