| Description of Academic/Research Interests
My research interests include cultural competency of health care providers, ethnic disparities in access and utilization of health services, ethnic disparities in health literacy, more specifically focusing on system factors and individual factors that reduce ethnic disparities and increase service providers' cultural competency. In addition, I am interested in comparative pharmacoeconomics of psychopharmacological medications. This would include comparisons of which psychiatric medications result in the greatest amount of benefit relative to cost. I also have expertise in developing, maintaining, and analyzing large-scale databases, computer programming as it relates to data management and research design.
